Creating Impact
We create social impact by leveraging our financial input, attracting matched and additional funding from philanthropists and other sources, and through the support we provide, building capacity, capability and collaborative networks.
The model in action:
Total value of Our Common Good investments to date £95,000
Total additional funding secured by Our Common Good supported projects since investment >£800,000
What we do
We act as catalysts, working in partnership with others, identifying, designing and supporting innovative community-based projects that have the ambition and potential to have meaningful and sustainable impact at scale, nationally.
For our social impact partners this means:
Providing and facilitating access to finance and funding
Collaborating to develop the strategic ambition and organisational insights necessary for sustainable growth
Helping to build the necessary capacity and capability to support development
Encouraging them to work more effectively in partnership with others.
For our philanthropy partners this means:
Involving them in the generation of ideas around new social impact concepts
Providing a pipeline of innovative social impact programmes which match their own areas of philanthropic interest
Creating comprehensive evaluations of projects and their potential
Facilitating opportunities for matched funding to improve leverage
Giving opportunities to participate directly in projects and programmes
Communicating updates, insights and progress on the projects they have invested in
Generating sound evidence, measurement and evaluation to assess social return on investment.
